Greetings to all! I am your innkeeper, Lisa Bowman. I am a native of Maryland, but have been amazed and inspired by the beauty of West Virginia for many years.  Now a full-time resident of Morgan County, my dream is to share this unique community that is the quintessential Wild & Wonderful West Virginia.

Ambrae House is the culmination of my many dreams.  Formerly, it was a beautiful and unique house that I had admired during my many visits to the area, and then known as the “Old Perry House”. When it went on the market in 2007, I knew this was the place that my dream of living and working in Morgan County could come to life. It also provides the outlet I need to be creative and to express my desire to work with and for people, as well as share my passion for food and wine.

One question I am often asked is how the name of Ambrae House originated. The name is actually the combined names of my beautiful daughters, Amber Rose and Erika Brae, who are the two reasons I live and breathe.
 
Also, nothing would be complete without my sweetie, Gary. I owe it all to him for his belief in me, as well as his hard work and vision.
